Christine Cohen is the state Senator representing the needs and wishes of the approximately 100,000 residents in the 12th District towns of Branford, Durham, Guilford, Killingworth, Madison, and North Branford. Senator Cohen is the Senate Chair of the Environment Committee, Vice-Chair of the Commerce Committee, and she sits as a voting member on both the Planning & Development and Children’s committees. She focused her public policy energies on protecting Connecticut’s environment and helped pass new state laws to ban single-use plastic bags beginning in 2021. She also created and co-chairs the Coastal Caucus, a bipartisan group of lawmakers who focus on the issues affecting coastal towns, cities and waterways.
